Hi, I'm Sunet

My own trauma has become my superpower as a Specialist Trauma Therapist.

It's no longer my "sad story", but has transformed into the most important thing I can ever do with my time on earth...help others escape the claws of Trauma so that they can LIVE their lives!

*** Tigger Warning ***

Where it started

At age 4, I woke up every morning to a quiet house. Dad was at work, siblings at school, Mum was asleep until they got back from school, and I didn't DARE make a noise that would wake up the sleeping dragon of wrath.

Nobody to play with, nobody to make me breakfast...I was alone and not sent to any kind of schooling or socialising with other kids my age until age 7.

Life happened

As I grew older, life got harder. Dad was an acoholic, quick to anger and turn to aggression, and left the child raising to Mum.

Mum was chronically Depressed and Emotionally absent, aggressive, bitter, greatly attention seeking, and no stranger to being deeply emotionally abusive.

My sister, my only safe space, was much older and left home as soon as she was old enough.

My animals became my only safe space, but let's just say none of them ever had a very long life when my Dad was around.

Life kept happening...

When I FINALLY left home to attend University, I was a deeply dysfunctional shell of a person with a highly anxious attachment to anyone I thought could rescue me, attracting rescuers by playing the constant victim...the only way I knew how to get some level of attention.

One after another kind-hearted rescuer abandoned me after a long time of trying their best to rescue me, but failing, because I didn't want to rescue myself...I was just hungry for the love and attention that playing the victim gace me.

The more people abandoned me, the more that fundamental belief that I wasn't good enough and that nobody loved me, and that I am a victim, continued to grow it's roots deeper into my identity.

And then some...

I became an overly-empathetic rescuer and people pleaser, trying to rescue others from their pain (because I know how it feels to be in their shoes), and never ruffling any feathers.

This put me in dangerous situations, adding much more trauma to the list. I was a humanitarian who would put myself in danger to save others.

This ranged from going into dangerous situations to help girls escape their abusers, to working in refugee camps where people were fleeing from terrorism and getting caught up in the mess, to letting complete strangers live in my home until they could get onto their feet.

But then...

But then...after burning out totally and having NOTHING left to give, I hit rock bottom...and I am SO thankful that I did...because that FORCED a turning point.

I had no choice but to get longer term professional help, go through Trauma Therapy (EMDR), learn to set healthy boundaries, stop people pleasing, learn to build healthier relationships, and stop playing the victim.

And now...

My Trauma started healing...I honestly didn't think that was something that was possible. EMDR saved my life. Literally.

Over time, my Trauma...and own transformation through Trauma Therapy...became my superpower as a Trauma Therapist.

Now...every day I work as a Therapist and help others heal and take their lives back, feels like the biggest "Screw you" to my Trauma! I'd love to have you join me so we can do the same for you.

I now have a secure attachment to my wonderful husband, and am able to say NO when I need to. I have balance and I have healthy relationships...and a career that I love. I never thought I would make it this far...

What others are saying

"I am incredibly grateful"

After multiple and ongoing childhood traumas, I had tried “talk therapy” with limited success as an adult. Sunet is just incredible. I feel so much lighter and more balanced in my life every day.

"My life changed forever"

"I've been seeing Sunet for almost 2 months now and I already feel lighter in my day-to-day life. I've still got a long way to go and I'm still processing through things with her, but starting to see her is honestly the best gift that I have ever given myself!"
